greetings from Finkenberg

Hi everybody!
It’s dark outside
Twelve a clock in the midnight
21,8 °C
102 km/h

At the moment we are driving from the end of the world into civilisation with very epic music. So you can guess three times where we are spending our time to do our internship. à Stock Resort | Zillertal | Finkenberg.
So we have three hours time to tell you about our explorations. Now we are going to tell you what we have learnt so far:

  • ·        Never let your grandma wait in the car in Poland
    • – they also steal your car WITHIN your grandma
  • ·        Never let your guests know that you can speak    their native language although they    can speak German
    • – they won’t speak German anymore (but   Madame Sperger would be proud of us).
  • ·        The guests don’t know what they are drinking
    • – they don’t recognize if you serve them San Pellegrino or Soda water.
  • ·        They hardly eat the normal menus
    • – they always need a special service.
  • ·        Never rely on somebody or your working times
    • – in tourism business out of our comfort zone (Vorarlberg) everything is possible.
  • ·          If you want to get 4 days off
    • – buy Mohrenbier!
  • ·        If you want to get fit
    • – work at the stock Resort (from the team lodge to the hotel you have to go on a pro hiking tour)
  • ·        If you want to have a penthouse flat with pool and sauna,…
    • - work at the Stock Resort.

So as you can see we have learnt so far a lot of important things for our future life. So tell me what you’ve learnt, what you’ve really really learnt. :-)  - As you can see driving home is really really funny.

We miss you all a lot,

Corina and Nina

  1. Thank you for you post. Some of your bullet points make me very curious. Especially the one with stolen grandmothers. :-) I hope to hear more of it next week! See you soon!

  2. We definitely understand that this entry needs an explanation:
In the first week Tatjana who also was working in service, told us that she once was in Poland for holiday with her family and her granny.
The family wanted to do some sightseeing but Tatjana’s grandmother was too tired after all. So she decided to stay in the car and take a little nap.
After the family came back, the car was stolen… within the grandma!
She explained that they found her again after a long day of searching.
So never let your grandma inside the car in Poland. 
