Nelson Mandela - a long walk to freedom!

Hey guys!

In our last English lessons, we watched a film called "Nelson Mandela - a long walk to freedom". This film is about Nelson Mandela's life and especially about his fought against Apartheid.

For me, the most impressive and powerful scene was the last one. After a long time in prison, Nelson Mandela was released from jail and participated, with his political party, the ANC, for the next presidential election. He won it and he became the first black President of South Africa.
Straight after he knew, that he is going to be the new President of South Africa, he walked through the houses of Parliament to the balcony, where many people, black and white, waited for the new president.

This scene reminds me of Jamie Vardy. He is a professional football player and played for a non-professional club until he was 25. He fought a long time for a contract with a professional club. Now he is Top-Scorer in the Premier-League and is on top of the table with his club Leicester City.

Have a nice day everyone!
