The wrong enemy!

Hello guys!

The last three English lessons we watched the film “Our long walk to freedom”, which is about the life story of Nelson Mandela. If you don’t know Nelson Mandela, we invite you to read our blogpost about his life.

Nelson Mandela was a South African who stood up for the rights of the black population. He led the organisation ANC but after some troubles, he arrested for 27 years. His wife Winnie continue fighting against Apartheid. After some time Nelson Mandela got out of prison and in the same breath he succeeded that the black population was allowed to vote.

The most powerful scene in our opinion was at the end of the film, where the black people started a fight against each other. Some of them had the same opinion as Nelson Mandela, that everything is only possible with peace. But the other ones hold the opinion of Winnie Mandela and so they want war. This scene was very shocking to us, because by the time the black fight against the black. But actually the black one’s should fight against the white one’s.

Today on the 8th march, women all over the world fight for their rights. In our opinion, the people shouldn’t forget the disadvantage between women and man. This is kind of the same problem as the black people have had in the year of 1944.

Yours,
Diana und Lea

  1. I fully agree with you, that there is still a lot of unjust in the world. The discrimination of women is one of them. I think standing up for one's right is a very important virtue. People should be brave again!

    2. Dear David.
I totaly disagree with your opinion.
In my opinion it is not wanted by god or nature to remove things from where they belong. You also wouldn't take a Lion for a walk through Bregenz City, am I right? A Lion is used to his envoirment and his envoirment is used to him. If you destroy that, the worlds Balance gets in danger. You talk about women's rights and GPS bracelets without thinking about the consequences! I hope you never get in a posession, in which your opinion Counts - that would be our worlds end!
I hope you learn out of your mistake and act more responsible when it comes to Society critical Topics like this one.
For me a solution would be a state-run Supports for kitchen renovation and purchase. I agree that a women also needs space and light in her Life. I think á minimum of 8 squaremeters and a window of 10x10cm is essential for every kitchen!
