Hey guys!
How are you? How are things going? Did you enjoy your summer?
Lea and me, we stayed in Dublin, the capital city of Ireland. There we worked in a five star business hotel called "The Fitzwilliam". We were working in two different appartments namely Lea in the restaurant for breakfast and me in the hotel bar. The Eire (irish for Ireland) is a country with beautiful landscapes, traditional pubs and thousands of legends about the irish history. There is just one big problem: as you probably know Ireland is a very rainy country so it's quite hard to stay dry outside.
One thing you probably don't know is that the irish people mostly don't have a laundry dryer and that was a bit of a difficulty for Lea and me. First time we had washed our clothes we put them outside on the line because our hostmum, Deirdre, wanted us to do so.
We trustedher and went for a walk to the beach. Just a few minutes later, out of the blue, we felt the first raindrop #classicalirish and that was our sign to start running back and safe our half dried clothes! Actually, we were hoping that Deirdre would take our laundry in but when we arrived back home, totally exhausted because of our long run, our hostmum stayed relaxed and didn't understand our trouble. For irish people, it's normal that their laundry is getting wet twice after washing them.
So, we had to get used to this special weather and accept that our clothes were mostly double washed, from the washing machine and from the sky as well.
Well, we hope that you had a great time as well and more often bright weather than us in the cold north. Thanks for reading our blog and don't be afraid to write a comment!
Slán!
Lea and Melissa
