Our internship - things you would never expect in a Miniclub

Hi everyone 😊,

as you maybe already know, we spent our summer in Lanzarote which is located on the Canary Islands. We were trainees in the department of Animation of the Hotel Seaside Los Jameos Playa.

Our tasks were playing Bingo, rifle shooting and archery with the adults, table tennis, volleyball and water polo with the teens and we were spending time with the monsters called “kids” in the Miniclub. And now we want to tell you stories you would never imagine that something like this could happen there.

Once upon a time we were spending a day working in the kid’s club. Daria was trying to help a girl with drawing a picture as she suddenly heard the “clicking” sound of the scissors...
Theodor, a 4-year-old boy from Germany cut her hair!!!
Now the hair is sticking on the “Wall of Shame” of our boss’s office.
The new Mona Lisa was born.

Some days after, a little fat girl went to the pool with us on the “Nemo’s Day”.
As we were going inside the Miniclub again we allowed the kids to play in the soft place.
A few minutes later, we heard two girls screaming at each other. As we turned around the little girl shouted: “I’m gonna punch you in the face, bitch!” – we couldn’t believe what we heard from a seven-year-old child.

But the worst thing that ever happened was the day of the 17^th of July. As we recognized that it was smelling very bad in the whole Miniclub – it was too late.
A kid who was only 3 years old decided too poo in his pants. And as the mom sadly forgot to put a diaper in the pants of her child we had a disgusting accident.
And as that wouldn’t be enough, the boy decided to go on the slide – with the little present in his trousers.
So we won’t tell you anymore disgusting details…
You can imagine who had to clean up the whole mess.

Except these things, we had a really great time in Lanzarote and would love to spend a second summer there!
